Earth globe from 1867, crafted by Ch. Lapochette and presented by L. Bonnefont, a French university professor and public education officer. Awarded a silver medal at the 1867 World's Fair, this globe is published by Naud Evrard in Paris. Measuring 50 cm in diameter and 80 cm in height, it's made of cardboard and printed paper, with a blackened wood stand. In fair condition, it has a significant tear along a quarter of its circumference (from East Africa to North Australia) and general signs of use. Despite these flaws, the globe remains sturdy and boasts a beautiful patina, making it a highly decorative piece. All shipments are carefully packed and insured.
